by the Eagles Youth Partnership Program, a philanthropist branch of
the Philadelphia Eagles, the Village transformed 32 adjacent vacant
lots in North Philadelphia into a safe, beautiful park, featuring a
variety of plant life, playground equipment, outdoor sculpture, murals,
and a large tiled mosaic. The design and construction process engaged
many neighborhood youth and adults. On the day of dedication, the whole
team of 150 members of the Philadelphia Eagles worked together with
neighborhood residents to complete and celebrate this significant and
memorable event.
